Gentle Care for Two
Supported, nurturing bodywork for the changes of pregnancy.

Pregnancy asks a great deal of the body in a short stretch of time. As your center of gravity shifts and your weight grows, the low back, hips, and legs often carry the brunt of it — and the everyday tension of work and life doesn’t pause to make room. Prenatal massage at The Body Clinic in Ogden is a chance to slow down, be fully supported, and let someone tend to the parts of you that are working hardest right now.
Our prenatal sessions are built around comfort and safety first. You’re positioned on your side with pillows and bolsters cradling your belly, back, and knees, so you can settle in without strain. From there, the work stays gentle and responsive — easing the muscles that tend to tighten through pregnancy while leaving plenty of room to adjust pressure, position, and pacing to whatever feels right that day.
Many expecting clients in Weber and Davis County find that regular, gentle massage gives them a needed pause — a quiet hour where the focus is simply on how they feel. Whether you’re managing low-back ache, swollen ankles, or just the weight of a long week, we’ll meet you where you are. We always recommend checking with your doctor or midwife before beginning, especially if your pregnancy is considered high-risk.
We’ll start by talking through how your pregnancy is going, what trimester you’re in, where you’re feeling discomfort, and any guidance your provider has given you. Prenatal massage is generally offered in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters, and we’ll ask that you have your doctor’s or midwife’s clearance before we begin, especially for a high-risk pregnancy.
For the session itself, you’ll be positioned on your side with pillows and bolsters supporting your belly, back, hips, and knees — never flat on your stomach, and not lying flat on your back for any length of time. This side-lying setup keeps you comfortable and well supported while your therapist works the low back, hips, legs, shoulders, and neck.
Throughout, communication stays open. Pressure stays gentle and adjustable, and you’re welcome to ask for more pillows, a position change, or a pause at any point. The goal is simply for you to feel cared for and at ease, start to finish.
For most healthy pregnancies, gentle prenatal massage is generally considered safe and many expecting clients find it soothing. We use supported side-lying positioning and keep pressure gentle and adjustable throughout. We do recommend checking with your doctor or midwife before your first session, especially if your pregnancy is considered high-risk.
Prenatal massage is generally offered during the 2nd and 3rd trimesters. Many clients begin once they’re past the first trimester, but the right timing is a conversation to have with your doctor or midwife — we’re happy to work alongside whatever guidance they give you.
You’ll be positioned comfortably on your side, with pillows and bolsters supporting your belly, back, hips, and knees. We don’t have you lie flat on your stomach, and we avoid lying flat on your back for any length of time. If you’d like more support or a position change at any point, just say so.
Prenatal massage doesn’t have its own line item in our online booking yet, so the easiest way is to book a session and simply note that you’d like prenatal care — or contact the clinic directly and we’ll set you up. Let us know what trimester you’re in and any guidance from your provider so we can prepare.
Reserve your session online, or reach out and we’ll help you choose.
